What happens if you add a candidate that already has an application on that job or has a candidate profile in the system?

If you uploaded a candidate to a job, but you can't see him/her, that is probably because that candidate already exists on your account or on that job. This occurs differently to external recruiters than to other Talentlyft roles. That is because External recruiters can only see candidates that they have added to the account.

For the External Recruiter

As an External recruiter, you can only access the candidates that you have added to the system yourself. You will not see the candidate and the application if the candidate was already in the system when you uploaded it to a job.

  • The candidate already has an application for this job - The application will be merged with the original one. You will not be able to see the application that you have added if the original application was added by someone else.

  • The candidate profile already exists, but there is no application for this job - The application will be added, but you won't be able to see it. It will be visible to other users, with information about who added that application, but not to External recruiters.

For other roles

  • The candidate already has an application for this job - The application will be merged with the original one. You will be able to see the application source of the original application because it will remain as the main one.

  • The candidate profile already exists, but there is no application for this job - You will see the added application and it will be added as a new application on an existing candidate profile.
