Throughout your hiring process, at any stage of your hiring pipeline, if you decide that a candidate is not suitable for that position, you can disqualify his/her job application.
Another thing that can happen is that the candidate rejects you, as an employer. In TalentLyft, you can add a Rejection reason with the appropriate Reason type.
β
You can also disqualify multiple candidates simultaneously for the same reason using the Bulk Disqualify option.
NOTE: The disqualified candidate will stay in your candidate database after you disqualified him/her.
You can create custom rejection reasons for both scenarios, when you disqualify a candidate and when a candidate rejects you as an employer, maybe declines your offer.
Adding disqualification reasons
To add a rejection reason, click on your Avatar icon in the top right corner and select the App settings option.
Select Disqualification reasons from the list and the customization window will open.
Here you have the option to add a disqualification reason with the appropriate reason name and reason type. You can also edit existing ones and delete them.
To add a disqualification reason, click on the Add button, located on the upper right side of the screen. Enter the required information (reason name and reason type) and click on the Save button to save your changes.
Reason name is the free text field and you can write your reason there.
Reason type, when clicked on, a drop-down menu will open with three different options; none specified, candidate rejected us, we rejected candidate.
Selecting your Auto Disqualification Reason
When setting up an application form for a job, you can set some answers to be automatically disqualifying for your custom questions. This can be set up for Single or Multiple choice questions and Yes/No questions.
β
After you add your disqualification reasons, you can select one that will be used for auto-disqualifications.
If a candidate is disqualified automatically, by giving you a wrong application form answer, they will be disqualified with that selected reason.
In most cases, those candidates are disqualified because they do not meet the minimum qualifications for the role they are applying for. You could create a reason reflecting this and use it for those automatic disqualifications.

Editing or deleting a disqualification reason
