Set Up Your Domain for the TalentLyft Career Site

Set up a CNAME record to make your TalentLyft career site accessible via your own domain

Updated over a year ago

If you decide to use TalentLyft's career page and don't want it to show in your URL, you can add a CNAME record to your domain.

The default URL of a career page, when using TalentLyft's career page, will look something like this: example.talentlyft.com.

You can add a CNAME record and point it to your TalentLyft page's URL: example.talentlyft.com.

CNAME record will look something like this: careers.yourdomain.com.

NOTE: This CNAME example is one of the most commonly used. You can choose a different one yourself.

To add a CNAME record to your domain:

  1. Go to Convert and click on Edit career site.

  2. When the Websites window opens, click on Settings in the top right corner of your screen.

  3. In the Domain settings, click on Custom domain and enter the career site address you want to use. After entering your career site address, the fields below will be filled out automatically.

  4. Contact your IT to create the generated TXT and CNAME records in your DNS settings. After you save the record, it could take up to 48 hours for changes to be visible on the DNS.

  5. After the records are successfully created, click on the Verify DNS settings button.

  6. After the verification process is over, you should see green checkmarks next to both records.

NOTE: If one or both records can't be verified, the yellow triangle icon next to it won't change.

  7. If the records are successfully verified, click on the Save Custom Domain button, and your career site will be accessible through the address you have set.

NOTE: After you click on the Save Custom Domain button, it may take a couple of minutes to finish the process. All that remains now is to link the careers page to your web page.

If you want to check if your CNAME record is recognized by the DNS, you can do that on this site.
